Have you ever challenged someone to a fight and you got beaten up?????

Few years ago,I was in primary4 and was the prefect of my class or monitor as it was called then. I was a quiet and calm girl,an introvert. I had an elder sister in pry 5 of the same school and 3 cool girls as best friends.

As the class prefect, I was respected by all my classmates except for one particular girl who happened to be the biggest in the class.

Whenever the class got noisy,I would be asked to write down the names of those disturbing and this girl would  always threatened to beat me up if I wrote down her name and since I actually feared her,I would always overlook her noises.

     One day, the class was noisy and I announced that I was writing names. She called out to me  from her seat;

“Hey, if you write my name in that list, you will cry”!!

I was enraged!!!

     Afterall I was the prefect.

“if you make noise,I will write it and there is nothing you can do to me.  If you think you are strong, wait for me after school nonsense!!!

True to my words, I wrote her name and she got punished..

Fastforward to closing time, she came to me  where I stood with my friends and said

” so  you wrote it ”

with some (strangely) newfound strength, I told  her to follow me, that I was going to deal with her!!  t

I took her to the back of pry3  classrooms with some of classmates and friends  who followed us hailing me.

We got there, I gave my bag to a friend and was still warming up to beat her when I  receive a thunderous slap on my left cheek.

I saw something like a lightening flashed through my eyes and couldn’t see for a minute.

When I finally opened my eyes with great difficulty and pains , I was on the ground and my bully was getting ready to give me yet another slap but my God was awake..

At that moment, someone shouted “Chi, your sister is looking for you o

I grabbed my bag from the ground nd ran!!!!!!!

when I got to the front side of the classrooms, I saw all those wicked people that were hailing and urging me on all standing in a cluster.

Apparently, when She gave me that “sense-giving”  and

“Brain resetting” slap, they all fled.

That day I learnt the importance of peaceful conflict resolution techniques..
